Corrections policy
Arctic Global Impact corrects the record openly. Corrections are never hard-deleted from public history, and a retracted signal remains visible with its retraction notice.
Types of change
- Update — new evidence extends or refines a signal. The version number increments and timestamps show what changed when.
- Correction — a factual error is fixed. A dated correction notice appears on the signal page describing what was wrong.
- Retraction — the signal no longer meets our publication standard. It stays visible, clearly marked as retracted, with the reason attached.
How it works
Every signal carries a version number, first-published and last-verified timestamps, and a full version history in the database. Editors can publish corrections and retractions but cannot delete history; all editorial actions are recorded in an audit log. If a confidence score changes because evidence changed, the new explanation replaces the old one publicly while the prior assessment is preserved internally.
Report an error
If you believe something we published is wrong, contact us with the signal URL and the evidence. Corrections requests from parties named in a signal are welcome and are assessed against the same evidence standards as everything else.
